About Us

Serving Our Students and Community

The Gravenstein Schools Foundation (GSF) is a non-profit, tax-exempt, public benefit corporation designed to benefit the students and schools of the Gravenstein Union School District near Sebastopol, California. We are the successor to the Gravenstein PTA and Middle School Boosters organizations, which served Gravenstein schools for many years.

We've continued the wide variety of community service activities, traditional middle school activities, and help fund program, equipment, and materials needs such as:

  1. *Halloween Carnival

  2. *8th grade graduation dance & dinner

  3. *Staff Appreciation Luncheon

  4. *Artist-in-the-Classroom

  5. *Back-to-School Dinner

  6. *Field trips

  7. *Technology upgrades

  8. *Facility improvements

  9. *Special Assemblies

In addition to funding the many items listed above, we support Gravenstein's exciting band, chorus and performing arts programs. We also fund the "Artist in the Classroom" program so vital to our primary school kids.

Monthly Meetings and Activities

Please Join Us!

GSF meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Gravenstein School music room. All meetings are open to the public.

How We Raise Funds

We do not sell cookies.  Or magazines.  Or wrapping paper.  We have one large fundraising drive each year in the Fall.

We ask all members of the district to donate what they can to our non-profit foundation in order to fund our budgetary commitments without requiring the children to become salespeople!

Our Fall Drive is happening now!  It’s not too late to contribute to quality education.  Of course, we welcome all donations, large or small.  If you'd like to donate today, just click here.

Funraising

Another way we are able to reach our fund goals is through selective “funraising” events.  These events are family oriented and include Bingo Nights and our Halloween Carnival.  Help us by attending or volunteering at these event.

Ever wonder, “Why GSF and not PTA?”
